"Truth lies at the bottom of a well."
16 century proverb
With the light in the east
and bearing containers
both empty and full
we walk to the well
where women for ever
have gathered and gossiped
rested and hidden
shared babies and bodies
death and transitions
we re-member our Selves.
Look deep in the well
for Her nourishing answer
see your reflection
in shimmering water
shelter in shadows
share divine healing.
The sun passes over
graces the west
we dip and fill jars.
Now both laden and lighter
we return to familiar
stronger and hopeful
walk away from the well
re-enter our lives.

As SoulSpirit, Roz gives healings and offers writing workshops and groups in the landscape of Prince Edward County and beyond. As facilitator, she creates space that is relaxing, non-judgmental, safe and confidential. After living and working for years in Canada, South America and the Caribbean as a Life Coach and teacher of children and adults, she lived by the sea in her native England for five seasons, writing poetry and studying Esoteric Soul Healing. This has given her natural healing ability a structure and a language to share with you.
As writer, in 2012 Roz published The Fireman’s Child, which honours a journey of forgiveness and compassion. Believing that writing in solitude is as necessary as writing in community, Roz spent 16 months in retreat by the sea in England, which inspired her first collection, Spirit of Lyme, (2003), now in its third edition. After teaching in Canada and the Caribbean, Roz earned an MFA at Goddard College in Vermont and is presently studying towards a D.Min in Wisdom Spirituality. Her poems and essays have been published in many magazines and books, including A Room of Her Own.

As a member of the world community, Roz believes in the vital importance of creativity, myth, healing, ritual, and community, not only for today, but for our conscious evolution into an uncertain future. In Prince Edward County, she facilitates bi-monthly Open Floor nights, founded the ‘In-formed Poets’ group, and coordinates an annual anthology of local writers every International Women’s Day. She works towards resilience and sustainability with the Transition Town movement and coordinates rituals that mark Mother Earth’s turning of the wheel. Every summer, Roz works at the Goddess Conference in Glastonbury, UK with one foot in the circle and one foot in the street - a role she honours deeply – and she writes regular articles for the Goddess Temple Newsletter.
